VINCENT – The annual Vincent in the Park event returns on Saturday, July 27, with arts and crafts, food, fun for kids, a car show, music and fireworks.
The celebration will be held at Vincent Municipal Park near the intersection of U.S. 231 and Shelby County 62, from 4-9:30 p.m.
The event, which is presented by the Vincent Park and Recreation Board, will feature arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, a cruise-in car show and a large fireworks display that lasts about 30 minutes, said Becky Landers with the town of Vincent.
Admission is free, but organizers said a pack of Expo markers would be appreciated. Items will be distributed to Vincent schools.
A Children’s Village area with a train ride and other activities will keep kids entertained, while adults will enjoy the sounds of Lamont Landers Band, whose namesake frontman is a contestant on America’s Got Talent after previous appearances on The Steve Harvey Show and Showtime at the Apollo.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair to the family friendly event.
“It’s incredible; it really is,” Becky Landers said.
Sponsors include White Rock Quarries; Sain Associates; America’s First Federal Credit Union; DeLoach, Barber & Caspers PC; Rux Carter Insurance; and Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union.
