ALABASTER – Crews will work this summer to repave several roadways throughout the city, and are planning to bid out the projects in mid-June.
During a May 20 meeting, the Alabaster City Council approved a $5,000 bid with the Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood engineering firm to prepare the bid book for the projects, and approved a $15,000 bid with the firm to conduct construction engineering and inspections for the projects.
The city is set to open bids on the repaving projects at 9:30 a.m. on June 13, and the council likely will vote to award the bids at its June 17 meeting, said Alabaster City Administrator Brian Binzer.
