Pub 261’s annual Crawfish Boil set for April 28

PELHAM – Pub 261’s annual Crawfish Boil benefitting the Shelby County Humane Society is set for Sunday, April 28, from noon to 4 p.m.
Boiled crawfish and shrimp will be available by the pound and will come with corn and potatoes at no extra cost. Pub 261 general manager Sherry Church said the cost per pound will be announced at later date.
All of the money raised after paying for expenses will go to the humane society. Animals from the shelter will be available for adoption at the event.
Church said this year’s event will include an area for vendors. Vendors can rent a space for $50. Live music will be provided by singer and songwriter Amber Jean.
Since the humane society heavily relies on donations, so guests are also asked to bring items for donation. The humane society is in need of canned wet puppy and kitten food, canned wet dog food (solids), unopened dry kitten food, no-clump clay litter, cat toys, 14-by-11-by-14 litter boxes, small blankets and towels, cleaning and storage supplies, large storage bins with lids, OdoBan citrus cleaner, blue Dawn detergent, broom and dustpan sets, rolling storage shelves, 100-foot hoses, wet floor signs and Shop-Vac wet/dry vacuums.
