Full music lineup released for 2019 Buck Creek Festival

HELENA – The Buck Creek Festival is about a month away and the finalized music stage schedule for both Friday and Saturday have been announced, courtesy of members from the Buck Creek Festival Committee.
The festival will kick off festivities on Friday, May 10, at 6 p.m. as 2BLU & The Lucky Stiffs will take the stage, followed by the headliner Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster at 8 p.m. to cap off day one. Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster is based out of Memphis, Tennessee where they deliver several party songs and play an average of 100 shows per year.
Saturday, May 11 will feature an entire day and evening full of various bands and musicians beginning as early as 10 a.m.
Hooley will get things started at 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by the Helena High School Jazz Band at 11 a.m., the Tuckahoe Travelers at 12:20 p.m. and the Automatic Slim Blues Band at 1:40 p.m. before the famous rubber duck race begins at 3 p.m. at the Buck Creek Dam.
The later afternoon and evening performances are as follows:
–Razz Ma Tazz at 3:45 p.m.
–Old South Band and 5:15 p.m.
–Edmonds Butler Band at 6:45 p.m.
–Deputy 5 will headline Saturday night playing at 8:30 p.m.
The Buck Creek Festival is in its 18th year of existence as the free, family-friendly event provides plenty of fun for the whole family including crafts, children’s activities, food and of course live music.
During the life of the festival, more than $297,000 has been returned to the community for a variety of projects that benefit all of Helena.
The 2019 Buck Creek Festival is set for Friday, May 10 from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
