ALABASTER – The Crimson City Quartet of Mobile will sing at Siluria Baptist Church in Alabaster on April 7.
The group was founded in 2002 and has performed throughout the South.
“Everywhere we go we find there are hundreds of people, not just the older folks, but lots of younger people too, who love to hear that style of singing,” said lead singer Benny Green. “It has been, and is, a genuine thrill for us to see how people are blessed through this music, and how much they appreciate and enjoy what we are doing,”
Crimson City baritone singer Darwin Porter said they are looking forward to sharing the message of the Lord when they come to Alabaster.
“It’s something people enjoy, not only as entertainment, but as ministry and worship, when they hear a gospel quartet,” Porter said.
Crimson City consists of Green and Porter, along with bass singer Danny Slayton and tenor singer Michael Williamson.
The concert begins at 1:30 p.m. and the public is welcomed. There is no admission charge, but a love offering will be taken for the group’s expenses.
