HELENA – The date for the annual Helena Belles Powder Puff Game has been set.

Girls within the organization will hit the gridiron on Thursday, Nov. 15, for the sixth annual Helena Belles Powder Puff Game with proceeds from the game going to a worthy cause.

The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Helena Sports Complex and ticket proceeds will benefit Oak Mountain Missions Ministries in Pelham.

Oak Mountain Missions Ministries is a 501(c)(3) organization that demonstrates the love of Christ by providing food, clothing, furniture and financial assistance to those in need in Shelby County and the greater Birmingham area.

Tickets are $5 for the game and each person that purchases a ticket will be entered into a drawing for a $500 Visa gift card. Tickets may be purchased from any Helena Belle.

As part of the organization, Helena Belles are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of community service per year and represent the city of Helena in a way that will bring honor to the program.

In addition, Helena Belles must be of good character, have a pleasant personality, be enrolled in school, maintain good grades for their entire term and enjoy the civic responsibility of serving their city and loyal charities.
