Join the Shelby County Arts Council on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 4-7 p.m. for the Quilt Show gallery opening.
This exhibit features beautiful quilts created by fabric artists from across the south.
The patterns created by these skilled artists conjure feelings of tradition, family and togetherness.
This show is curated by the Friends of the Columbiana Library and is free and open to the public.
If you’re looking for a creative outlet this weekend, check out Chris Cruz’s Watercolor Mixed Media Workshop at the SCAC on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Students will experiment with various forms of watercolor techniques and materials to create their own unique paintings.
The cost is $75, and all supplies are provided for this workshop.
Class registration and information can be found at shelbycountyartscouncil.com.
For information on these and other upcoming events and classes, visit the website or call (205) 669-0044 or follow Shelby County Arts Council on Facebook.
