PELHAM – From now until Nov. 11, Texas Roadhouse in Pelham, in partnership with American Legion Matthew Blount Post 555, is collecting donations for area veterans through its Collection Card fundraiser.
Residents can donate by going to Texas Roadhouse and letting a host or manager know that they’d like to donate. Store marketing manager Angela Knight said residents don’t have to be a restaurant customer to come in and donate.
The donations will go toward gift cards that will be distributed in gift bags by Post 555 to veterans during Military Appreciation Night at an Alabama Hockey game in February 2019.
The names of those who donate will by written on stickers and placed on a wall inside the restaurant.
Post 555 member Kenneth Paschal said the fundraiser is a way to continue to show support for veterans even after Veterans Day, which is on Nov. 11. Texas Roadhouse is also giving back by serving lunch to veterans for free on Veterans Day.
