Jazz in the Park is back on Sunday, Oct. 7, for another fun evening of smooth jazz in Alabaster.

This family-friendly event is a collaboration between the Shelby County Arts Council and the Alabaster Arts Council and is presented by Magic City Smooth Jazz.

Each year, this free event promotes and keeps the jazz tradition alive in Alabama.

Jazz in the Park will be held Oct. 7 from 4-9 p.m. at the Alabaster Municipal Complex greenspace (1953 Municipal Way).

There will be a variety of food trucks onsite and visitors are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to sit on.

This all-ages event will feature the music of BlendJazz and Phil Denny with a special performance by the Thompson High School Jazz Ensemble.
