ALABASTER – Those looking to take advantage of the fall weather while enjoying offerings ranging from local vendors to hay rides and a trick-or-treat trail will have a chance to do so in late October at Alabaster’s Fall Fest.

The 10th-annual Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, on and around the Buck Creek Trail near the Alabaster Senior Center off 11th Avenue Southwest from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

Fall Fest, which has been held in the city since 2009, will feature arts and crafts vendors, a trick-or-treat trail for children staffed by local volunteers, carnival rides for kids, hay rides, inflatable games, live music from the local band 2Blu and the Lucky Stiffs, food vendors and more.

Parking will be available at Buck Creek Park at 701 Sixth Ave. S.W. or off 11th Avenue near the Alabaster Senior Center and City Hall.

While the event is free to attend, organizers are encouraging attendees to bring money to use for vendor purchases while at the Fall Fest.

Because the event falls a few days before Halloween, attendees are encouraged to don their costumes for the festival.

In the event of inclement weather on the day of the Fall Fest, call the rain-out line at 378-4055 after 7 a.m. to get updates the day of the event.
