FROM STAFF REPORTS

HOOVER – Enterprise Holdings will occupy the majority of the space in a new, 38,000-square-foot, multi-tenant office building being constructed off Valleydale Road, less than a mile from the Interstate 65 and Valleydale Road intersection at Southlake.

Once completed, the space will house the new headquarters for the company’s South-Central U.S. operations, allowing Enterprise to consolidate the training, support and management functions for its regional operations under one roof.

The new administrative building also will house the regional office for Enterprise Holdings’ affiliate, Enterprise Fleet Management.

Enterprise Fleet Management provides full-service vehicle management to more than 250 organizations throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Northern Florida and Western Georgia.

The new space will allow the fleet management team to better support its clients and their fleet management needs, including acquisition, funding, upfitting, licensing, tracking vehicle operations and vehicle resale.

Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Enterprise Holdings operates its flagship Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand, as well as National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car, through its integrated global network of independent regional subsidiaries and franchises.

Its affiliate Enterprise Fleet Management provides full-service fleet management for companies, government agencies and organizations operating medium-sized fleets of 20 or more vehicles as well as those seeking an alternative to employee reimbursement programs.

Richard J. Dames Jr., Managing Principal of the Cresa St. Louis office, and Patrick Denney, President of Economic Development Strategies in America, worked on behalf of Enterprise Holdings for site selection and lease negotiations.

Glenn Ponder, Managing Partner of Ponder Properties Commercial Real Estate, worked on behalf of the developer and builder, Moiz Foulad of Foulad Properties, and the architect, Johnny Latham of PWBA Architects, to custom-design the three-story building and secure a 10-year lease. The building will meet or exceed the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) with features such as a high-efficiency HVAC system. Construction is already underway with the building expected to be completed next year.

Ponder and Foulad have already completed a two-story, 34,000-square-foot office building adjacent to the Enterprise building, with the entire first floor already leased and occupied by a dermatologist and skin health care company.

More buildings are planned for future development as Glenn Ponder and his partner, Terry Ponder, continue discussions with other prospective tenants. Ponder has many other office buildings available immediately for lease in the Birmingham metro area.
