Harriet Meeks, age 84, of Alabaster passed away Monday, Aug. 27.

Her survivors include her husband, William O. Meeks; two daughters and son-in-laws, Susan Grotzer and George (deceased) of Gulf Shores, and Barbara Carroll and Jerry of Moulton; son and daughter-in-law, Louis Mango and Dawn of Camas, Washington, as well as nine grandchildren.

She was an active member and past president of the Friends of the Albert L. Scott Library of Alabaster and had also been past president of the Board of Safehouse of Shelby County.

Funeral services will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Alabaster on Friday, Aug. 31 at 12 p.m. A visitation will be at the church prior to the service at 11 a.m.
