Charlie Hinds proudly posed in this circa 1921 photo with his Paige automobile. Paige was a Detroit-based company that sold luxury cars between 1908-1927. Hinds, who came to the Helena area in 1903, would become prominent in Helena life. He served as mayor, on the local school board, and worked as superintendent, foreman and fire boss for mines in and around Helena. In 1912, he built one of the finer homes in Helena that still stands today. (Contributed/City of Helena Museum)
