HELENA–Starting Nov. 1, members of the Helena Police Department ditched their razors and began looking scruffier than usual as the department will participate in “No Shave November” once again to support a good cause.
The HPD, along with other area agencies, will be participating in “No Shave November” to help raise funds for the Wings of Hope Pediatric Foundation.
This fundraiser, which has raised thousands of dollars for the foundation in recent years, will help support families of terminally ill children with some of the things typically needed in order to provide those families with the opportunity to spend more time together, and less time dealing with things that can get in the way.
The Wings of Hope Pediatric Foundation was started in 2010 and the month-long fundraiser will raise awareness and continue to contribute to families who need support.
Throughout the month of November, residents in Helena can also do their part to help raise money by visiting local restaurants in the area as 10 percent of all proceeds will go toward the Wings of Hope Pediatric Foundation on these nights.
The following restaurants in Helena will host fundraiser nights in the month of November.
–Marco’s Pizza will donate 10 percent of all proceeds on Nov. 13, between 4-8 p.m.
–Beef O’ Brady’s will donate 10 percent of all proceeds on Nov. 16, between 5-10 p.m.
–Zaxby’s will donate 10 percent of all proceeds on Nov. 21, between 4-8 p.m.
