PELHAM – With the launching of Pelham Connect, a smart phone app for Android and iPhone users, it’s now easier for Pelham residents to communicate with the city.
City administrator Paula Holly said the app, which launched on Monday, Oct. 16, allows residents to easily access everything from the city’s website on a mobile device. The app is available for both Android and iPhone users.
The app can be downloaded via Google Play as Pelham Connect for Android devices and from the App Store as CivicPlus for iPhone users.
The app gives residents the option to sign up for notifications and alerts. Residents can get the latest City Council agendas, initiate beautification nominations, access information for building permit requirements and applications, stay up-to-date with the city’s calendar and news, report a concern, view job opportunities with the city, view Oak Mountain State Park trail maps, access Parks and Recreation information, pay a parking ticket, pay a water bill and have access to information about local business owners.
“We launched the mobile app this month as a means to improve citizen communication,” Mayor Gary Waters said. “As Pelham grows and changes, we will continue to seek ways to provide our community members with up-to-date information and make it easy for them to talk to us.”
