Here are highlights about this week’s Veteran of the Week: Lt. Col. George Ross Cline, Jr. was born in 1970 in Birmingham, AL. LTC Cline began his 28-year military career in 1989 as an enlisted soldier serving in the Signal Corps. He was commissioned in 1996 through Officer Candidate School. His military education includes the Army Command and General Staff College, the Army Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) Course, and the Signal Officer Advance and Basic Courses. LTC Cline is a graduate of Samford University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. LTC Cline’s current assignment is with CYBERCOM as the OIC of the Kodiak Cyber Operations Team located at Ft. Meade, MD. LTC Cline has held positions at NSA, the Pentagon, AFRICOM and numerous other locations. He served at the South Korean Demilitarized Zone in 1992 and the Panama Canal in 1994. He has been deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq. LTC Cline is the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.
