The April 16 concert featuring rhythm-and-blues singer Brandy at the University of Montevallo has been canceled.

University Program Council Coordinator Melvin Milton stated in an e-mail Tuesday that ticket purchasers will be reimbursed with a university check. Disappointed concertgoers must present their ticket to the UM Office of Student Life to be eligible for reimbursement. Office hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The deadline to request reimbursement is April 22, Milton said.

A representative of the student life office said Wednesday, “Brandy had another commitment that made it impossible for her to get here in time.”

The concert will not be rescheduled, the representative said.
