PELHAM–The Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Pelham has partnered with the Helena Miracle League to help the league meet its target goal of $700,000 to bring a custom baseball field for special needs children and adults to Helena.
The restaurant is hosting a special fundraiser night on Wednesday, Sept. 6, where a portion of the food sales will go toward the Helena Miracle League.
The Helena Miracle League’s mission is to provide opportunities for children with disabilities to play Miracle League Baseball, regardless of their abilities, promote community support and sponsorship of Miracle Leagues and promote the construction of special facilities that meet the unique needs of Miracle League players and their families.
The future baseball field will be located at Joe Tucker Park in Helena where it will include the 125-foot baseball field with a rubberized surface, ADA accessible restrooms, a pavilion area, concession stand and a disability accessible parking lot.
From 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 6, customers who dine at Texas Roadhouse in Pelham will help support the Helena Miracle League as 10 percent of all food sales will be donated back to the organization.
Texas Roadhouse is located at 60 Drivers Way in Pelham.
The Helena Miracle League is also in search of players and sponsors to participate in its inaugural golf tournament on Monday, Oct. 9, at Timberline Golf Club in Calera.
