NORTH SHELBY – A four-vehicle wreck on Valleydale Road in front of North Shelby Fire Station 1 blocked the roadway the afternoon of Monday, July 31.

The wreck occurred at about 3 p.m., according to a press release from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, and emergency vehicles operating in the area forced the blockage.

SCSO deputies and Alabama State Troopers were on the scene as of about 3:30 p.m., according to the release.

Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes and avoid the area due to major traffic congestion.
