ALABASTER – Firefighters from the Alabaster Fire Department put out a vehicle fire in front of a local business on Saturday, July 29.
According to the AFD, firefighters received a 911 call at about 1 p.m., shortly after a car caught fire in the parking lot of Advance Auto Parts located on First Street Southwest.
Because the fire took place within close proximity to an occupied business that stored flammable or dangerous materials, a second fire engine was dispatched.
The AFD said firefighters were able to extinguish the fire “quickly… without further incident” and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There were no road closures, and no injuries or deaths were reported.
