Panda Express off U.S. 280 opening July 14

NORTH SHELBY – Panda Express has announced the launch day of a new location in North Shelby County, off U.S. 280.
The restaurant is at the former Dixie Fish Company location and will open at 11 a.m. on July 14.
To celebrate with the community, the restaurant will hand out chorks and menus at community events such as the Sounds of Summer Concert Series and Thunder on the Mountain leading up to the launch day celebration.
Panda Express will also be hosting events to get to know the community following the opening.
Rooted in family-oriented values, Panda Express seeks to become further ingrained in the areas it serves. The restaurant will support the Birmingham neighborhood through hosting events with Children’s of Alabama as well as Greystone YMCA this summer.
“We’re proud to serve the community and become an integral part of Birmingham,” said Recep Yildirim, multi unit manager for Panda Express. “We’re looking forward to introducing guests to our people-first culture and delicious American Chinese menu.”
In celebration of Panda Express’ entry into the area, the new restaurant will donate 20 percent of grand opening day proceeds to Children’s of Alabama. As part of ongoing efforts to give back through its philanthropic arm—Panda Cares, Panda Express will continue to seek additional charitable partners to donate 20 percent of a day’s proceeds to in the future.
With the opening of each new location, Panda Express is proud to offer employment opportunities to nearly 25 new associates from the community.

Panda Express Birmingham is located at 101 Resource Center Parkway, and dine-in services will be offered Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.
The drive-thru will serve guests Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on weekends.
This location will offer all of the restaurant’s iconic dishes including the world-famous Original Orange Chicken, SweetFire Chicken Breast, award-winning Honey Walnut Shrimp and Shanghai Angus Steak.
