HELENA–The Helena High School football program will have two opportunities for young students interested in the game of football to improve their skills and get position specific instruction at the Husky Football Skill Camps.
This summer, campers will have the opportunity to participate in a one or two-day non-contact football camp at Helena High School.
Any upcoming student between grades 1-8 will have the option to participate in a general camp on Monday, July 10, a position specific advanced camp on Thursday, July 13 or both.
The general camp will consist of Instruction from HHS coaches and senior football players on all football positions, weight training and nutrition information for all ability levels. The camp will conclude with a punt, pass and kick competition.
The position specific camp will consist of players selecting a specific position to work on for the entire camp. Athletes must select a specific position for the camp. Players will receive advanced instruction and techniques for the chosen position and each camper will be given drills and activities to take home and work on to improve skills after the camp has ended.
Participating in a one-day camp will cost $35 and participating in both camps will be $55. Both camps will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at noon at Husky Stadium on the campus of Helena High School.
Athletes should come prepared for the camp with cleats, tennis shoes, water bottle, shorts and a shirt. Parents are encouraged to use sunscreen on all athletes. Bottled water and Gatorade will also be available for purchase at the camps for $1.
Payment for the camp is due June 29 and checks should be made payable to Helena High School.
