HELENA–Parents with children in grades one through six who live in Helena and wish for their child to participate in youth football or cheerleading may now register for the leagues.

Online registration, which opened April 17, will be open from now until Sunday, June 4, for football and Monday, May 15, for cheerleading.

To participate in youth football, a child must be between grades one through six and the cost to play is $220.

Helena Youth Football is a member of the Jefferson/Shelby Youth Football League where there are three junior and two senior divisions. There will be eight regular season games, followed by playoff games.

In-person registration, as well as fitting for players will be Sunday, June 4, from 1-4 p.m., at the Helena Sports Complex.

New and returning cheerleaders may now register online. The cost for a new cheerleader will be $425 and includes registration, a three-piece uniform, two spirit wear outfits, game day bows, shoes, pom poms, bloomers, a megaphone and camp.

The cost for a returning cheerleader is $180 and includes registration, game day bows, spirit wear, shoes and camp. Uniforms, pom poms, bloomers and a megaphone will be available to purchase as an add-on if needed.

Fittings for all youth cheerleaders will be Tuesday, May 23, from 5-8 p.m., at the Helena Sports Complex.
