The NAACP of Shelby County is hosting a free housing and financial seminar at New Everdale Baptist Church in Montevallo on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Attendees will be able to apply on the spot for housing, jobs, the GED, college and more. Refreshments will be served.

There will be speakers and representatives from the Alabama Department of Labor, Wells Fargo, Collaborative Solutions and the United States Department of Agriculture.

Ollie Parham, the Alabama State Conference NAACP economic chair; attorney Stephen Stetson; the Rev. William Walker with the CEC Reentry Program and Larry Sailes of Fundamental Business and Plans of Hope will be there to assist.

New Everdale Baptist is located at 131 Canyon Road, Montevallo.
