MONTEVALLO – Former University of Montevallo volleyball standout Manyi Ati recently signed a contract with Svedala Volley, a professional volleyball team based in Svedala, Sweden.

The professional club, which was formed in 1985, competes in the Swedish Eliteseries league.

Ati was named first team All-Peach Belt Conference during her senior season at Montevallo in 2013, earning her the distinction of being the sixth player in conference history to be named to the All-Conference team in all four years in her playing career.

Ati, a native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, was also named to both the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region teams during her senior season. She was also named to the Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region team following her sophomore season.

Ati finished her playing career at Montevallo ranked second in career kills in the Falcons’ NCAA Division II record book with 1,410 career kills. She also finished seventh in the Falcons’ NCAA Division II record book with 131 matches played and fifth in the record book with 468 sets played during her career.

Ati, who was named an honorable mention selection on the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic team as a senior, was a four-year member of the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll.
