PELHAM – Pump It Up of Pelham will host its first Back To School Bash Thursday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Pump It Up’s marketing and event coordinator Sydney Jones said the event will provide children with a safe environment to interact and have fun with one another.

“Not all parents can afford to send their children to summer camps while they’re at work,” Jones said. “Some kids are at home being babysat by relatives or friends and they might not get to interact with other kids on a regular basis. This is a chance for kids just to have fun before school starts back.”

The event costs $12 for children. The $12 admissions fee includes face painting by Pinky Fancy Faces, balloon animals, pizza and beverages from Nino’s Italian Restaurant and appearances from Frozen’s Queen Elsa and Spiderman. Kona Ice will also be at the facility for purchase.

Parents may attend for free. Jones said there will be food available for parents to purchase.

Heather Holmes, owner of Pump It Up of Pelham, said she hopes to make the Back To School Bash an annual event. She suggested that parents reserve a spot for their children online at www.pumpitupparty.com, but reservations are not required.

The event can accommodate 75-100 children.

“We have 15 kids registered so far and we just sent out the email Thursday morning, so I think space is going to fill up quick,” Holmes said.

Holmes said there will be another Back to School Bash Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon for those who are unable to attend Thursday’s event.
