Woodrow “Pop” Polk, age 92 of Pea Ridge, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday Jan. 31 at his home surrounded by family.
He loved his wife of 72 years for whom he cared for, and served his country in the Navy. Hunting, fishing, and most of all working in the yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lillie Polk; brothers, Arlie and James Polk; grandchildren, Laura McNeel and Dana Bessiere; son-in-law, Stephen Taylor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary B. Polk, daughters, Margaret McNeel (Johnny) and Joannie Taylor; sisters, Betty McNeel and Jenny Polk; brothers, Gene Polk (Peggy) and Michael Polk; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 4 from 10-11 a.m. at Aldrich Assembly of God Church in Aldrich with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Jerry Phillips and Rev. Bobby Coston will be officiating his service. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge.
In honor of Mr. Woodrow Polk, donations can be made to the Aldrich Assembly of God Building Fund.
