ALABASTER – Thompson Middle School parents will have a chance to get an up-close look at the school’s offerings during an upcoming Parent Night event in the TMS gymnasium.

The event will be held on Feb. 4 from 5:30-7 p.m., and will coincide with the school’s registration process, said TMS Assistant Principal Desaree Jackson.

During the Parent Night, parents will have a chance to meet with teachers and learn about several elective classes available to their children.

“It will be set up like a fair,” Jackson said, noting the event will feature demonstrations from the school’s woodshop class, cooking classes and more. “They will be able to see the things their kids can actually make here.”

The Parent Night is free and is open to all TMS parents.
