VINCENT – Jasmine Banks poured in 16 points for the Vincent Yellow Jackets on Jan. 21 in a 2A Area 9 matchup with Thorsby as Vincent won the game by a final of 41-26.
Vincent scored just nine points in the first and second quarters, however the 18-point halftime output almost was enough in itself to get the win on this night as the Lady Yellow Jacket defense held Thorsby well below that mark in the first half and only allowed 26 points the entire game.
Banks did the majority of her scoring after halftime, scoring nine points in the second half of the game to lead all scorers. She hit three out of eight three-point shots in the game, finished with six rebounds, four assists and four steals as well.
Quenessa Crawford pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds for Vincent, 10 of which were defensive and seven of which were offensive. Crawford also finished with five points as well. Vincent outrebounded Thorsby by a 51-25 margin in the game.
