HELENA–One of the largest fundraising organizations for Helena athletics, the Helena Athletic Association, will be hosing their largest fundraiser of the year on Saturday, Feb. 6.

The HAA will host the 4th annual Night on the Town on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Helena Sports Complex beginning at 6 p.m. and concluding at 11:30 p.m.

The night will feature dinner, music and a live auction and the cost of admission for Night on the Town is $100, which allows admission for two.

HAA President Jarrod Rose emphasized how important the event, as well as the organization as a whole is important in helping Helena schools.

“All of the schools benefit from this,” said Rose. “We have money set aside for the elementary, intermediate, middle and the high school. “With it being a brand new high school there’s still a lot of need for the athletic departments. We took out a loan of $100,000 to pay for weight room equipment and at the middle school there’s still needs as well.”

With the introduction of the HAA four years ago, Rose highlighted some of the things the HAA has been able to purchase for athletic programs at all the schools.

“We gave money to resurface the gym floor and put a logo down last year at the middle school,” said Rose. “We also gave $1,500 to the elementary and intermediate schools for their PE classes. The intermediate school was able to purchase a rock climbing wall with the money.”

The food will be catered by premium hospitality and some of the silent auction items will include tools such as skilsaws, drills and more. Rose is hoping to have bigger items such as a Big Green Egg and Yeti Cooler included in the auction as well.

Tickets for Night on the Town can be purchased online at Helenaathleticassociation.org or from a board member.

The Helena Athletic Association is a 501 C-3 non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds to support Helena’s entire student athletic program.

Those wishing to join the HAA can do so by purchasing an annual HAA membership for $30.
