HELENA–The Helena City Council members unanimously passed a resolution at the Monday, Dec. 21 Helena City Council meeting to rearrange the dates for the 2016 scheduled Helena City Council meetings.

In years past, the Helena City Council meetings have been held on the first and third Mondays of each month beginning at 6 p.m. at Helena City Hall.

After taking a closer look at the first and third Mondays in 2016, the current members of the Helena City Council decided that it would be more beneficial to change the meetings to the second and fourth Mondays of each month.

“We took a look at the dates and with everyone’s schedule and to minimize conflict with holidays throughout the year, we decided to move the dates,” said Helena Mayor Mark Hall.

The 2016 Helena City Council meeting dates are as follows:

• Jan. 11 and Jan. 25
• Feb. 8 and Feb. 22
• March 14 and March 28
• April 11 and April 25
• May 9 and May 23
• June 13 and June 27
• July 11 and July 25
• Aug. 8 and Aug. 22
• Sept. 12 and Sept. 26
• Oct. 10 and Oct. 24
• Nov. 14 Nov. 28
• Dec. 12
