HELENA–Helena city employees were treated to a free, catered lunch on Wednesday, Dec. 16, courtesy of Helena Mayor Mark Hall to show his appreciation for the hard work the city employees provide.
Hall provided a catered barbecue lunch using his own personal funds from the local Golden Rule Barbecue restaurant.
This marked the third time Hall has put together a city employee appreciation luncheon and he explained why he likes to provide the luncheon each year.
“It is an enjoyable time to get everyone together and just talk and relax for a few minutes, often bringing employees together from different divisions, who may not interact with each other on a day-to-day basis,” said Hall. “The lunch helps foster better working relationships and can lead to better team work.”
The lunch was provided at Helena City Hall and at the last Helena City Council meeting, Hall encouraged residents to thank city employees as they continue to work hard through the holidays when most people have time off.
“This is just a small way to show my personal appreciation for all the hard work our great staff does each year,” said Hall. “Thank you for your dedication and the hard work you do for our city.”
