William Fred “Bill” Hassett, age 55, passed away Sunday, Dec. 6 at his residence.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Vincent. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Vincent Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hassett; son, Daniel Hassett; daughters, Brandi Howell Lawler (Rodney) and Misti Knight; sister, Martha Taft; four grandsons, two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.

Bill was an avid hunter of all kinds. He enjoyed Alabama football and nascar racing and loved to fish. He was a lifelong resident of Shelby County.

Pallbearers will be Judson George, Jimmy Hassett, Dennis Parker, Scott Parker, Brien Gulledge and Bobby Green.
