Virginia Johnson, age 92, was called home the afternoon of Friday, Nov. 13.

Born June 29, 1923, she lived her entire life in Alabaster.

Virginia was the first employee, hired in 1952, at the First Bank of Alabaster. She retired in 1985 as Vice President.

She was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church, Alabaster for 92 years.

Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter, Ginny Lynn; husband, Douglas (Dugan) Johnson; mother, Sadie Davidson; and sister, Dean Rochester.

Survivors include Virginia’s two loving sons, Steven D. Johnson (Terry) and David W. Johnson (Rita); five grandchildren, Melia Heath (Stephen), Katy Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Matt Johnson, and Parker Johnson; and one great-grandchild, Paisley Heath.

The family received friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15 at First United Methodist Church (FUMC) Alabaster, with a celebration of her life following at 2:30 p.m. Burial was at Elliottsville Cemetery in Alabaster. Rev. Joe Raines officiated.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to FUMC Alabaster.
