VINCENT – The woes of 2015 continued in a big way for the hapless Yellow Jackets as the Rebels from Thorsby came into Vincent on Oct. 2 and laid the wood down to the tune of a 60-0 win. Thorsby had a 28-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 54-0 lead at the half, continuing Vincent’s trend this season of giving up insurmountable point totals in the first half.

Thorsby held Vincent to negative offensive yards, which has also been a trend for Vincent this season.

Vincent falls to 0-6 on the year while Thorsby moves back above .500 on the year to 4-3 and is now 3-1 in 2A Region 4, all but clinching a playoff spot.

Vincent will continue its quest for that elusive first win of the seaon next week as the Yello Jackets travel to Francis Marion. Thorsby will look to build on the momentum of posting its highest point total in school history, dating all the way back to 1967, with a contest against Fayetteville next Friday.
