Oak Mountain Amphitheatre announces new concert calendar

PELHAM— September and October will bring new faces to Oak Mountain Amphitheatre with shows featuring Chris Brown, Lady Antebellum, Van Halen and alt-J.
September’s line up kicks off with Chris Brown Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. Brown is an R&B, hip-hop, pop and dance artist and has won two NAACP Image Awards, three American Music Awards and fourteen BET Awards. Teyana Taylor, Omarion, Fetty Wap and Kid Ink will warm the crowd up before Brown takes the stage.
Lady Antebellum is a country music group consisting of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. The band is most well known for its hits “Just a Kiss” and “Need You Now,” and has won seven Grammy Awards.
Lady Antebellum’s Wheels Up 2015 Tour features guest artists Hunter Hayes and Sam Hunt. They will all perform Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
Van Halen will perform Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m. The hard rock, heavy metal and glam metal band is comprised of Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth and Wolfgang Van Halen.
Van Halen has won one Grammy Award and one American Music Award. Eddie and Alex Van Halen and Mark Stone formed the band in 1972.
English indie rock band alt-J will perform at Oak Mountain Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. The band was formed in 2007 in Leeds, England and is now comprised of Cameron Knight, Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green.
The band’s debut album “An Awesome Wave” was released in May 2012 in Europe and won the 2012 British Mercury Prize.
