HELENA–The Party Art Studio in Old Town Helena recently opened its doors in April, and after a few short months of being in business, the studio has moved down the street into a larger space.

Party Art Studio is a paint your own door hanger studio that specializes in children’s birthday parties, girls night out and bridal showers.

Party Art Owner Abbey Thompson organizes the parties and described the different things the store offers.

“We have a selection of over 15 wooden shapes with endless possibilities,” said Thompson. “We instruct, so no need to worry about craftiness. You’ll leave with a ready to hang door hanger you will love and your neighbors will want to come with you next time.”

The new studio is more than 1,000 square-feet that includes a large paint studio that can accommodate up to 20 people comfortably, according to Thompson.

The party room is complete with tables and a rustic wood party table built by Thompson’s husband Steve.

“I have three children of my own and I have always loved celebrating their birthdays,” said Thompson. “It’s my gift to be creative and I love to share affordable hospitality with my community. We love to make each event special.”

Thompson said that so far she has loved being in Helena and enjoys the community.

“Helena has been so welcoming to us and we are so excited to have found a larger location to serve all of the Shelby County Community,” said Thompson.

Party Art also offers weekly open paint classes and special events that will allow customers a chance to come by without planning.

Dates and times for open paint classes are scheduled around private parties and a schedule can be found at Partyartstudio.net or Facebook.com/abbeyspartyart.

The new studio is located at 811 Creekside Court next to Papa Saia’s in Old Town Helena.
