Hear R. Kyle Hannah discuss his writings at the Shelby County Arts Council on Aug. 14 at 6 p.m.
Hannah has spent 28 years in the U.S. Army and is looking forward to retirement so he can spend more time writing.
In a recent interview, he explains he started writing in high school as “a way to combat boredom; it was that or get into trouble.”
His love of writing has stayed with him his entire life. His first two novels were penned while stationed in Afghanistan.
“History has always been written by the victor, but in the shadows, history has been manipulated by an ancient Guild of Time Assassins. Until now.” (Amazon)
Time Assassin and Assassins Gambit’s main character escapes to a distant past, in order to re-write his future.
Weaving a storyline through history takes an extraordinary amount of research on the behalf of the author.
Hannah’s novels are historically accurate and full of adventure.
Join the Shelby County Arts Council in welcoming R. Kyle Hannah, a Birmingham resident, on Friday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m., at 104 Mildred Street in Columbiana.
The SCAC’s Visiting Author series is supported by the Alabama Humanities Foundation and the Daniel Foundation.
The event is free, and the public is invited.
