Let me introduce you to the first and only cable water sports park in Alabama – Flip Side Watersports!
If you haven’t been to the park and tried this out, you are missing the fun.
What can be better than wakeboarding behind a boat and getting all achy? Wakeboarding at Flip Side Watersports! Here you can gear up and wakeboard while being pulled along by a cable (think zip-line but on the water) and not worry about all the bumps and bruises that come from being bounced around on the wake of a boat. It is the perfect way to learn to wakeboard.
Flip Side Watersports has only been open a year but are already expanding with the addition of a second cable that will be great for beginners.
The current cable is said to be the longest in North America and features several different ramps for jumping and riding across.
Whether you are new to wakeboarding or looking to advance your skills, they have the coaches and the features to take you to the next level.
Any water sport that you can do behind a boat, you can do at Flip Side!
Don’t have the equipment to try it out? They offer wakeboards, kneeboards, tubes and skis as rental options.
Flip Side has it all to rent ranging from $5 each for helmets and vests to $10 for the board to $20 for a standup paddleboard.
Cable passes (so your time on the water) ranges from $15 for 1 hours to $45 for all day. It’s fun for the whole family.
Please remember that you keep Alabama State Parks open by visiting them.
