The 9U Oak Mountain Red All-Star team made it to the championship game of the Metro All-Star tournament before falling to a tough Trussville team. Oak Mountain had teams in the finals for the 6U, 7U, 8U and 9U Metro All-Star tournaments this season, a very successful showing by any stretch. The Red All-Star team played 16 games in four weeks combined in pool play period and the tournament, and won more games in the tournament than it did in the pool play period.
