Summer will be here before you know it! Can’t afford to go away too far from home for a vacation? We’ve got the solution for you.

Come spend the weekend or the week at Oak Mountain State Park’s Campground.

The Campground offers primitive tent camping for those that want to “rough it” to full hook-up service for RVs for those that prefer the luxuries of home.

We have 145 campsites for you to choose from. Prices range from $17.60 to $33 plus lodging tax.

Oak Mountain State Park’s Campground is situated along the edge of Beaver Lake and is surrounded by hills topped with Longleaf Pine.

The campground is open year round. Amenities of the campground include 30 amp service, a picnic table and fire ring at each site, bathhouses, laundry facilities, playground, a beach, Country Store and a propane filling station.

The Country Store carries a small line of RV supplies, snacks and a limited selection of those supplies you may have forgotten.

The location of the campground makes it the perfect place to get away from the stress of daily life.

Do you want to camp but don’t want to be near anyone in the campground? We offer backcountry camping at three sites along our trails.

The cost for this is $6 per person. You can register at the campground.

Remember, whatever you pack in, you must pack out.

Staying in the campground gives you the opportunity to enjoy all the activities the park has to offer and then you can come back, cookout over the open campfire and relax.

There are a few short trails located within the Campground, as well as you are close to the North Trailhead.

You are just a short distance from FlipSide Watersports, if you have a more adventurous side and want to try wakeboarding, or if you want to learn about Alabama Animals, take a short ride up to visit the Alabama Wildlife Center or Oak Mountain Interpretive Center.
