The Helena boys golf team is playing in their inaugural season as a team and has been finding success in recent weeks in their matches.

On Monday, March 23, Helena took on the Chelsea Hornets at Timberline Golf Club in Calera and won by a score of 170 to 192.

Andrew Black of Helena shot a 36 (+1) that included a chip in birdie on hole no. 12 and he was the lowest scorer for Helena.

On Tuesday, March 24 Helena again had success as they played a tri-match with Pelham and Thompson.

Helena shot a 121 as a team compared to Thompson’s 141 and Pelham’s 165.

The leading scorer for Helena was Spencer Hollon who shot 38 (+2).

Helena’s next match will be against Shelby County on Monday, April 6 at Bent Brook Golf Club at 3 p.m.
