A house with a heritage

Janna Paslay’s Bluff Park house is nothing if not true to its owner.
“Oh no, I don’t use a decorator. I know what I like,” Paslay said. “I like being creative. I know what I like, and I want to find it on my own.”
Nowhere is this sentiment more evident in Paslay’s home than in her upstairs office, which is a monument to Paslay’s continuing work to trace her roots to Scotland.
The office is warmly painted in Ralph Lauren’s Suede, a cheerful milk chocolate shade, and bedecked with photos of Scottish locales, a painting of Scotland’s famous St. Andrews golf course and several travel books about Scotland and other vacation spots.
