A savory slice of Louisiana culture has found its way into the hearts — and stomachs — of many Hoover residents.
The Cajun Cleaver, located on John Hawkins Parkway in the Lake Crest Plaza, is a family-owned specialty butcher shop that carries meats, homemade entrees and sides.
The store is lined with meat cases, freezers full of casseroles and desserts, wines and beers — making it a convenient one-stop shop for shoppers on the go.
And whether customers come looking for a small, family dinner or enough food to satisfy a group of hungry tailgaters, they are greeted by intoxicating spices, personable conversations and a glimpse into storeowner Nick Morris’ home state.
