George “Sunny” Beavers

George “Sunny” Beavers, age 76, died on Monday, Sept. 29. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 3 at Cropwell Baptist Church. Internment will follow at Valley Hill Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Kilgroe Funeral Home will officiate.

George was a member of Cropwell Baptist Church. He was also retired from West Vaco Paper Company in Charleston, SC as an electrical engineer.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janette Beavers; 3 daughters, Lori Riley (Tim), Sharon Thomas (Greg), Susan (Gerry) Ware; sister, Shirley Reynolds (Knox); 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
