HOOVER–Plans have recently been approved to bring a new Chick-fil-A to the intersection of U.S. 280 and Alabama 119 that is set to open sometime in 2015.
A BP gas station that was recently demolished will be the site of the new location for the Chick-fil-A.
Shelby County Planner Kristine Goddard has recently worked with ALDOT and Chick-fil-A to gather the latest information on the project.
“The site plan has now been approved as well as the building permit application,” said Goddard. “This will be a standard Chick-fil-A design with a playground, drive-thru and parking.”
Last month Goddard was still waiting on some final details to be approved and now that they have been approved the project is under way.
There will be two entrances to the Chick-fil-A parking lot. One entrance will be from Highway 280 as well as a shared entrance with the Bazaar shopping center.
