PELHAM—The Pelham Police Department is currently investigating a death at Speed South in Pelham after an “unresponsive person” was discovered at the location the morning of Aug. 5, Pelham Police Deputy Chief Larry Palmer confirmed.

The Pelham Police responded to a call about an “unresponsive person” at Speed South, at 126 Corporate Way in Pelham, Palmer said.

Although the Pelham Police have not released the name of the deceased, Palmer confirmed “the individual worked at Speed South, but lived out of the area.”

Palmer said no “foul play” is suspected, but noted it is “an ongoing death investigation.”

“(There is) nothing to lead us to believe that anything was out of order,” Palmer said, noting the death appears to be medical health-related. “Right now we are calling it a death investigation.”
