MONTEVALLO—Silvermoon Day Spa and Bridal officially opened its doors on June 1, and owner Stephanie Anderson said the shop has been “busy ever since.”

The new business is a “one stop shop for a bride,” offering a salon, bridal shop and massage room.

Anderson, a licensed massage therapist, said it was working in a florist shop for 15 years, which first sparked her interest in the wedding business.

“I’ve always had a fascination with every aspect in this shop,” she said.

Sharon Conroy will be doing hair, makeup and nails in the shop. Conroy has been working as a stylist for more than 12 years, and said she is “very excited” to be working at the Silvermoon Day Spa and Bridal.

“The Lord really put it together,” Conroy said.

In addition to offering massages and styling, the business also offers a bridal boutique, which features more than 200 formal dresses and 100 wedding dresses.

“I’m so proud to be part of this town. I’m so proud of where I’m at. It’s been long and it’s been hard, but it’s been awesome,” Anderson said.
