CHELSEA — Chelsea High School students recently wrapped up their Change to Change Lives campaign, benefitting men, women and children served by the Jimmie Hale Mission ministries.
The students raised $1,500 through the campaign, said Bonnie Hendrix, Jimmie Hale Mission director of advancement.
“That’s an amazing achievement, especially when you consider they were simply asking for everyone to donate their loose change,” Hendrix said.
CHHS student Felicia People, National Honor Society president, headed the campaign while CHHS library media specialist Mary Beth Rodgers oversaw the fundraising efforts. People and Rodgers later presented a check to Jimmie Hale Mission community relations coordinator Terry Preston.
