Meet Jerry and Flo
Are you or someone you know looking for a pet to add to your family? Shelby Humane Society is eager to help match our deserving pets with loving families! This week we are featuring Flo and Jerry. These two arrived to us as strays—no known home or family—but all that can be fixed with your help.
Flo arrived with tiny pups in tow back in January. She raised them all to a healthy, strong, adoptable age and watched as they were all picked and she was left behind. The SHS Canine Team sums her up simply as sweet, gentle and adorable and they picked her as a favorite. Flo is a striking shepherd mix weighing about 55lbs and less than 3 years old. She would be a dog for a variety of families—from someone looking for a happy hiking partner and confidant, to a family looking for a devoted playmate for their older children. Help this girl leave the shelter this week.
Jerry arrived with a wound on his leg back in March and after much TLC from the SHS Feline Team, he is now ready to find the family that will love him always and keep him safe. This 4-year-old, orange tabby is a handsome fellow weighing nearly 10lbs. When he is not cat napping he will amuse you with his attention-getting antics—rolling over, reaching and stretching to tap you, chit-chatting about his day. Then he will win you over with his lasting charm and comforting purr. Don’t let this boy remain homeless one more day, come adopt and be a part of the magic of saving lives.
